With black friday behind us I want to know what deals sparkled in your eyes. What did you buy?

I bought this straw before black friday and its something i want to share.

The design limits flow of liquid so that you HAVE to use the strength and coordination of your tongue!

I’m loving using it because the back of my tongue has a tendency to get lazy and I notice this because it shows up symptom wise as jaw clenching.

Stretchy bands, weights, blocks… personal trainers.

All it takes is the motivation to get there and the rest will follow.

When the muscle that needs strengthening is in the mouth we often
- don’t realize its poor coordination or weakness
- don’t know what to do about it.

This afternoon i put together goodie bags for my myofunctional clients. Little tools that help improve awareness, strength and coordination in the mouth.

This helps people who have headaches, clenching, grinding, jaw pain, snoring and sleep apnea stregthen the muscles that support the airway so that we can have vibrant energy and less pain!

I had my little ‘helper’ clementine put these together with me. Having a toddler help is definitely a make work project!

Have you ever read a good book and then can’t stop thinking about it?

Ever feel trapped in your thoughts and wish you could connect with someone who was also interested?

This happened to me recently when I read the book Breath by James Nestor.

Trouble is, the main person i hang out with these days is 15 months old, so we can’t really connect over this particular book.

The book in question is called Breath by James Nestor.

The author is just a regular guy who gets super interested in all things breathing… so interested he does an experiment of 10 days exclusive open mouth breathing followed by 10 days exclusive closed mouth breathing.

Spoiler alert, he almost wanted to off himself after open mouth breathing for so long… and closed mouth wasn’t as easy as he hoped.
